Any service arrangement is between the customer and the tasker directly. OddJobs may assist in disputes but is not liable for the conduct, quality of work, or outcomes of individual jobs.

Your money is always protected

All payments go through Stripe - one of the world's most trusted payment platforms. We never store your card details. Pay only when your task is accepted and completed.

Real reviews you can trust

Every tasker builds their reputation through honest reviews from past customers. Read what real people say before you accept a single offer.

Flag anything that feels wrong

See a suspicious listing, message, or user? Report it directly in the app. Our team reviews every report and takes action fast.

Block users instantly

Block any user you don't wish to interact with. It's immediate, private, and permanent. They cannot message you or view your profile.

Chat before you commit to anything

Message any tasker inside the app before accepting their offer. Ask questions, clarify details, and get a feel for the person - no obligation.

Your address stays private

Your exact location is never shown publicly. Only share your address with a tasker after you've chosen them and it's needed for the job.

A marketplace we actively moderate

We review reported content, remove unsafe listings, and suspend bad actors. The OddJobs community is one we actively look after.

Clear rules everyone must agree to

Every user agrees to our community standards before they can post or offer. Violations are taken seriously and can result in permanent removal.

What's not allowed

The following are strictly prohibited. Violations may result in immediate account suspension or removal.

  • Illegal tasks or activities of any kind
  • Dangerous or unsafe work that poses physical risk
  • Drugs, weapons, or controlled substances
  • Sexual services of any nature
  • Harassment, threats, or abusive conduct
  • Fraud, scams, or deceptive listings
  • Requesting or accepting payment outside the platform
  • Licensed work performed without the required licence

For Customers

  • Read a tasker's reviews and profile before accepting any offer.
  • Chat in-app to clarify the job before sharing your address.
  • Never pay outside OddJobs - all payments must go through the app.
  • Only share your precise address once you've accepted an offer.
  • If something feels off, trust your gut - report the user or task.
  • Keep your booking messages in case a dispute comes up later.

For Taskers

  • Read task details carefully before making an offer.
  • Only accept jobs you're genuinely qualified to complete safely.
  • Don't do licensed work unless you hold the required licence.
  • Keep all messages and payments inside OddJobs.
  • If a customer asks for something unsafe or against the rules, decline and report it.
  • You are responsible for your own tax, insurance, and compliance with NZ law.
